AI TECHNOLOGY AND ITS

APPLICATIONS IN DEFENSE,
HEALTH-CARE AND DAILY LIFE
Introduction

 AI stands for Artificial Intelligence.

 Has become one of the emerging forms of
technology .
 Is a new type of intelligence which learns and
evolves on its own after being programmed.
 Sometimes, it performs tasks even better
than humans do.
 AI Applications

 AI has many applications; however, we are

going to chiefly or primarily focus on its
applications in:-
 1) Defense
 2) Health-care
 3) Daily life
AI Applications in defense
 Tactical AI
 Analyzing the battlefield conditions and thus
come up with solutions to the problem
 Can thus also be used for terrain analysis and
tactical training.
 Some of these AI software are TIGER and
MATE
 Unmanned Surveillance and Recon vehicles
and drones:
 Used to program surveillance vehicles which
do not have a driver person controlling them
sitting inside the cockpit.
 Carry out aerial recon global terrorist and
suspect activity hotspots; fire missiles when
needed.
 Cyber Warfare and Defense:
 Used to increase the security of the defense
networks and setups around the globe
 Used to prevent cyber terrorism attacks and
to launch cyber counter terrorism attacks.
AI Applications in Health-
care
 Managing and storing data:
 Data management is the most widely used
function of AI in health-care.
 Performing repetitive tasks: Taking CT
scans, Analyzing tests, data entry etc which
saves time
 Virtual Nurses:
 Monitors a person’s medical history,
symptoms, etc to prescribe medicines and
give treatments.
AI Applications in Daily
life

 Smart cars or driverless cars:
 They are increasingly becoming a part of our
daily life.
 Google’s driverless cars to Tesla’s “Auto-
pilot”, are particularly lucid examples
 Detecting financial fraud: AI can also be used
to detect potential financial frauds pertaining
to large-scale financial transactions with
either with debit cards or credit cards etc.
 AI software thus helps us to detect instances
of financial fraud
 Customer service:
 The option to chat with customer support or
customer service regarding their doubts
about a product.
 The people at the end of the line are
programmed or trained AI software.
