1.Sort (Seiri) :
Make work easier by eliminating obstacles.

Arrange all necessary items so that they
can be easily selected for use.

Clean your workplace on daily basis
completely or set cleaning frequency time
to time.
4)Standardize (Seiketsu):
Develop a work structure that will support

In this kind of vehicles the Engine,
passenger seats and Cargo space in
Single compartment.

In this type of cars the passenger
cabin and engine bay is in different
compartments .

Servicing is the most important aspect
of the car maintenance. There are two
types of customer service as follows:-

OVERHAUING OF DIESEL ENGINE
Preparation for engine overhauling
o Arrange all the required tools and equipment’s required for overhauling
o Assemble different size trays for placing various dismantled parts.
o Use cotton cloth for cleaning and use permanent marker for marking various
things.
Dismantling the engine
o Removed the battery .
o Drain all the engine oil and coolants.
o Removed all electrical connections,sensors and wires from all the various
components
o Removed the exhaust manifold and all high pressure pipe line.
o Place them in a tray and mark the tray if required.
o Name and nuts and place them in a tray
o Removed vacuum line and common rail unit.
o Removed the camshaft timing gear..
o Removed the cylinder head mounting bolt in sequence and gasket and nipple.
o Removed the piston and connecting rod assembly also.

o Numbered the connecting rod bigger end and the piston


After disassemble of Diesel engine

ASSEMBLING THE ENGINE

 Using the socket wrench T bar rotated the bolt further for 90˚.
Repeat the same steps for all the piston and connecting rod.
Applied silicon sealing compound to the oil sump and kept it to rest for 2 min.

CONCLUSION
 During my industrial training, there are many changes from
the point of learning environments and discussion among
colleagues. It can directly increase the dedication and
rational attitude toward us.However, there are still some
weaknesses that can be improved in the future.
 I can conclude that by training in this industry I received a
lot of exposure in the automobile world.
 I would like to thank also the Rajarajeswari College of
Engineering giving students find their own experience with
having Industrial Training like this.
