Lingua Franca: is a term for a language used in
business or other forms of contact between people
of different cultures with different native languages.
For example, today, English is considered as the
dominant lingua franca worldwide. While linguists
note that English is one of the harder languages to
master, its use comes from the massive expansion
CONCEPTS of the British Empire during the Colonial era and
the economic power of the United States during the
20th century.
Borrowings: Borrowings or anglicisms
corresponds to adopted words from another
language as a result of our cultural contact with
different countries and its particular costumes.
The main reason we use words from another
country is because languages are affected by
contact from
their neighbours. We use them depending on the o
ccasion, for exaple, in
