Action Procedure

Relative referencing in Excel 1. When you copy a formula from one cell to another, Excel copy the formula
formula relatively.
2. For example: in cell C5 there is a formula as SUM(A1: C4). You copy the formula
from cell C5 and then paste the formula in cell L10. What will be the new formula?
3. In cell L10, you get the formula as: SUM(J6: L9). So the formula works relatively.
If you fix some cell as absolute 1. For example: if in cell C5 the formula was like SUM($A$1: $C$4) and you copied the
or mixed, in those cases formula from cell C5 to cell L10, the formula would not change. It will same as
absolute reference parts of before: SUM($A$1: $C$4). As the cell references are absolute.
the formula will not make
change.
