Day 1 – Intro Activity
■ Today we will be creating our own spaces by using magazine clippings and gluing
them on another paper
■ This is will help you understand how to distort a space on a 2-D plane before moving
on to Photoshop
■ Creating spaces from magazines clippings
– Make this interesting and eye-catching
– Think about the composition
Homework: Bring in a laptop, if you have one and would like to, that has Photoshop (I will bring in the
laptop cart), and bring in the space you made today

Homework for next class
■ Bring in 3 photos you personally took of spaces around you (your room, outside
landscape, the school…etc.) on a USB (MUST BE 3 DIFFERENT SPACES)
■ Bring in a laptop, if you have one and would like to, that has Photoshop (I will bring
in the laptop cart)
■ Next class we will be distorting those 3 photos to turn in on Canvas
Day 3- Final project
■ Today we will have the whole class to distort the pictures you took of different
spaces
– Follow the screencast and handout if you forgot any steps from last class or
ask me
■ Make sure to turn all three photos in to Canvas before the end of class
■ Write 3-5 sentences about what you did and how you felt about making the project
