Question Tag is a statement that is used to ask his
listeners opinion on the statement submitted by the talker.
The statement consists of a positive or a negative statement
and a brief statement at the end of the sentence. The
statement and the tag are always separated by a comma.

Requirements to make the Question Tag:

1. If the sentence is a positive statement, the Tag is
negative (+,-)
Example : Mr. Hadi is very clever, isn’t he?

2. If the sentence is a negative statement, the Tag is

positive (-,+)
Example : Mr. Hadi isn’t clever, is he?
If we can see the auxiliary verb (is, am, are, was,
were, has, have, had) then use the auxiliary verb such as
tags.

The example are :

 She is brave to stay alone, isn't she?
 She has drank the milk, hasn't she?

In the first sentence, she's = she is, because

followed by adjectives, while in the second sentence she's =
she has, because followed by the verb form of the 3rd
(Present Perfect Tense).
If no auxiliary verb in the sentence of statement, then
use do, does, did or modal verb. Depending on the tenses.

The example are :

 They invited you to their party, didn't they?
 You think I will be fired, don't you?
 He had the bag, didn’t he?
 You can sing, can’t you?
 Mirda shouldn’t do that, should she?
Imperative statement is usually used to ask someone else to do
something. There is also a use to prohibit and to invite others.

Tags used are depends on the sentence. For example, if you ask
others to do things, better use would you. But if someone asked angrily,
can you would be more suitable to be used than would you.

The example :
Clean the room, would you?
Don’t disturb me, can you?

Use of the tags above can be replaced with please

The example :
Clean the room, please?
Don’t disturb me, please?
 Question Tag is pronounced with a rising tone of voice
when we still feel in doubt concerning the truth of
statements that we make

 But if we are convinced that the statements that we make

are right and want clarity from others that we are talking
to, then the tag question is pronounced with falling
intonation sound
