Steps to Measure a Skirt:
1. Waist. Measure along the waist. Make sure its laying flat
on the ground when taking this measurement. Run the
tape around the waistline, the smallest part of the torso.

2. Hip. This is the widest part of the hip. Measurement is

taken approximately 7-9 inches below the natural
waistline. Taken from side to side directly at the hip line.
First hip. Measurement is taken around the hip level where
the stomach is fullest. Second hip. Measurement is taken
around the hip level where the buttocks are fullest.
3. Hem. This is length of the flare of your skirt. Flare is the
bottom wide length of your dress.

4. Skirt Length. The length measurement is obtained from

the top of the waist line to the bottom of the hemline. It
may vary depending on the skirt style. Note down the
varying skirt length desire, such as mini length, channel
length and midi length etc.
