Network Video Recording

Operation Guide

 Conncetion

 NVR Installation
1. Gunakan brackets untuk pemasangan di rak.
2. Pastikan cukup space untuk kabel audio dan video.
3. Menghubungkan kabel rs-485.
4. Memberi setidaknya 2cm (≈0.75-inci) ruang antara rak mount perangkat.
5. Pastikan nvr di grounded
6. Suhu harus dalam kisaran-10 ºc ~ 55 ºc, 14ºf ~ 131ºf.
7. Kelembaban harus berada dalam kisaran 10% ~ 90%.

 Hard Disk Installation


Lepaskan kabel power dari NVR sebelum memasang hard disk (HDD).
2 hard disk yang dapat dipasang pada NVR

Steps:
1. Lepaskan penutup NVR pada panel belakang dan samping.

2. Sambungkan salah satu kabel ke motherboard NVR dan ujung lainnya ke HDD.

4. Tempatkan HDD di bagian


bawah perangkat dan kemudian Kencangkan

sekrup di bagian bawah


5. Pasang kembali cover NVR dan Kencangkan sekrup.

 Pengaturan IP NVR
Anda dapat menggunakan pengaturan network di bagian menu Configuration – Network
Pada bagian informasi network, anda dapat melihat pengaturan MAC Address, IP Address dan
network mask. Pada bagian tersebut dapat dilakukan pengaturan IP address disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan
network yang terhubung dengan NVR.

To assigning an IP ADDRESS, go to “MENU”>”CONFIGURATION”>”NETWORK”

IP CONFIGURATION

Step 1.
Enable DHCP (check the checkbox). Press “APPLY” and then press “REFRESH”

Step 2.
After pressing refresh, the IPv4 Address, IPv4 Subnet Mask and IPv4 Default Gateway will have
new values.

Step 3.
Disable DHCP (uncheck the checkbox)

Step 4.
Change the value of “PREFFERED DNS SERVER” to 8.8.8.8 (“ALTERNATE DNS SERVER” can
be left blank).

After assigning the IP information, click on the “MORE SETTINGS” tab

The “MORE SETTINGS” tab contains the ports that need to be forwarded for remote access

The SERVER PORT is responsible for the MOBILE APP and CLIENT SOFTWARE log-in.
The HTTP PORT is responsible for WEB BROWSER log-in.
The RTSP PORT is responsible for VIDEO/AUDIO STREAMING.

The HTTP PORT and the SERVER PORT can be changed if desired, in order to avoid conflicts with
the ISP or the existing network configuration

 Port Forwarding

After assigning the IP information to the NVR, connect a computer to the same router that the NVR
is connected to (wired connection is recommended, to avoid complications). Log into the
ROUTER, and proceed with PORT FORWARDING.
For PORT FORWARDING assistance contact the Internet Service Provider (ISP), or the
router manufacturer. Also refer to www.portforward.com for port forwarding step by step
instructions.
Please be aware, that Hikvision USA is not associated with www.portforward.com, and not
responsible for any activity between the user and www.portforward.com. Please refrain from
downloading any software from the abovementioned website.
Proceed to the “ROUTERS” section for step by step instructions.

 DDNS SETUP

DDNS registration has been made more user friendly, and takes only a few seconds to
complete. The legacy units require user registration on www.hik-online.com. This step is no
longer needed.

Click on the
DDNS tab

In the DDNS tab:


a. Enable DDNS
b. Change the DDNS TYPE to HiDDNS (in some cases HkDDNS)
c. Make sure that the SERVER ADDRESS is set to www.hik-online.com
d. Create a DEVICE DOMAIN NAME (the domain name CANNOT contain spaces,
special characters and/or upper case letters, as well as it cannot begin with a
number)

After the changes have been made, presses “APPLY”. A “SUCCESS” message will pop up

If the Domain Name does not meet the acceptable criteria, and/or is already registered, an error message
will appear(The domain name cannot contain upper case characters, begin with a number, spaces,
special characters…).

 Camera Administration

Menambahkan Camera

Setelah ip camera dan NVR terhubung dalam jaringan, hal ini memungkinkan ipcamera tersebut untuk
ditambahkan pada NVR. Terdapat dua cara untuk menambahkan perangkat camera pada NVR yaitu dengan
menggunakan discover dan penambahan secara manual.

Go to: “MENU”>”CAMERAS SETUP”

Press the “MINUS” icon to delete

 Recording Setup
Salah satu fungsi utamaa dari NVR adalah merekan video dan mentransmisikannya pada penyimpanan data.
Proses perekaman dapat diatur berdasarkan pengaturan schedule atau event yang masuk pada system.

Recording Modes
Secara default, mode rekaman belum di definisikan. Mode perekaman yang dapat digunakan adalah mode
countinues ( terus-menerus) atau berdasarkan event yang masuk pada system NVR.

 Stream
Beberapa camera yang tergolong pada jenis ONVIF telah support dengan pengaturan stream secara langsung pada
NVR. Pengaturan stream digunakan untuk menentukan type codec, ukuran resolusi dan jumlah fps pada camera dengan
profiling setiap stream berbeda beda bergantung pada kebutuhan.

Last step in the recording setup is setting up the Sub Stream.

 Event
Sebagai tambahan mode perekaman, NVR dapat juga merekam video berdasarkan event. Potensi event yang mana dapat
di deteksi oleh NVR adalah Trigger by Motion Detection ( ketika objek bergerak di depan camera), Trigger by input
(digital camera input aktif, camera mulai merekam) dan Trigger by camera tamper ( ketika camera defocus, lensa
camera ditutup oleh sebuah objek sehingga penglihatan camera tertutup). Sesitifitas pendeteksi gerakan diatur langsung
pada web camera.

To set the NVR to MOTION RECORDING, go to:

1. “MENU”>”RECORDING CONFIGURATION”
2. Click on the “EVENT” under the calendar (yellow). After this the mouse cursor will change to a
WAND.
3. Select the calendar, and it will turn YELLOW (just like on a computer, click on the
top-left corner of the calendar and drag to the bottom-right corner).
4. Press APPLY.

5. Press COPY to copy the new schedule to the remaining cameras

After the recording has been set to “EVENT RECORDING” go to “MOTION DETECT” to
set the motion detection for every camera. In this step, the IP cameras need to be configured
individually.

Steps to make a BACKUP of recorded video


1. Insert a USB FLASH Drive or a USB HDD into an available USB Port
2. Go to “MENU”>”PLAYBACK”
3. Select the DATE and beginning time of the incident
4. Click “START CLIPPING”
5. Select the ending time of the incident
6. Click “END CLIPPING” (Same button as “Start Clipping”)
7. Click “SAVE CLIP”
8. Repeat steps 1-7 as many times as required
9. Click “CLIPS EXPORT”

 Cofiguring App

All Hikvision DVRs, NVRs and IP Cameras can be accessed with iVMS-4500 application. The
APP can be downloaded from the APP STORE (iPhone/iPad), PLAYSTORE (Android). The
app is also available for WINDOWS MOBILE devices (Nokia Phones and tablets).

Download the app from the appropriate place and launch it. When the APP is launched for the first
time, a tutorial screen will be displayed, and it can be easily skipped.

 User Konfiguration

Jika NVR digunakan lebih dari satu user, maka sebaiknya membuat masing masing
priviledgeuser demi keamanan system NVR.

Adding a User
Steps:
1. Enter the User Management interface.
Menu >Configuration>User

2. Click the Add button to enter the Add User interface.

3. Enter the information for new user, including User Name, Admin Password, Password, Confirm, Level

4. Click the OK button to save the settings and go back to the User Management interface. The added new user
will be displayed on the list, as shown in Figure 15. 8.

5. Select the user from the list and then click the button to enter the Permission settings interface, as shown
in Figure 15. 9.

 Editing a User
For the added user accounts, you can edit the parameters.
Steps:
1. Enter the User Management interface. Menu >Configuration>User
2. Select the user to be edited from the list, as shown in Figure 15. 10.
3. Click the icon to enter the Edit User interface, as shown in Figure 15.11.

4. Edit the corresponding parameters.


• Operator and Guest
You can edit the user information, including user name, password, permission level and MAC address. Check the checkbox of
Change Password if you want to change the password, and input the new password in the text field of Password and Confirm.
A strong password is recommended.
