sides of one page. we can compare superstition
with prejudice they are both consist on false
notion superstition belongs to natural affairs
and prejudice belongs to worldly matters.
 Human beings always seek to understand their
surroundings and interpret life by that
understanding. Superstition is just one more
method of understanding life illogical at times.
 Many superstition originated at a time when
little was known about how a physical world
functions.
 A belief in superstitions gives people an illusion
of control in an uncertain world.
 Superstitions represent the underlying fear of
mankind, caused by the uncertainties of this
world.
 In a way it is a sign of acceptance of our
ignorance and limitations of our power.
 Ignorance of natural causes leads to
the belief that certain striking phenomena
express the will or the anger of some
invisible overruling power.
 Many practices are due to an exaggerated
false interpretation of natural events, so that
effects are sought which are beyond the
efficiency of physical causes.
 Curiosity also with regard to things that are
hidden or are still in the future plays a
considerable part.
Fortune-telling is a form of superstition. Its
roots can be traced back to ancient times.
Fortune-telling is the practice
of predicting information about a person's
life.

 By dream interpretation
Palm reading is the art
of characterization
and foretelling the
future through the
study of the palm.
astrology most often consists of
a system of horoscopes that claim
to explain aspects of a
person's personality and predict
future events in their life based
on the positions of the sun, moon,
and other planetary objects at
the time of their birth.
Tarot is a term used to
describe a type of playing
card deck consisting of 78
cards. The Tarot originated
in northern Italy in the 15th
century and now it is being
practiced in Pakistan.
Dream interpretation is the
process of assigning meaning
to dreams. In many ancient
societies, dreaming was
considered a supernatural
communication or a means of
divine intervention, whose
message could be unraveled by
people with certain powers.
Now a days it is widely
practiced to tell the fortune.

problems, lead to an increase in the number of
sub clinical cases, resistant infections and death
due to treatable diseases.
 Superstitions have a demoralizing effect on
our life
 It ends our self confidence.
 We can not think in a reasonable way.
 All our thinking and working power gets
paralyzed under the influence of unknown
fears.
 The unknown fear hangs over us and we can
not get rid of it although not easily. BUT

HOW?
"The person who goes to a soothsayer and
believes in him has rejected that which was
revealed to Muhammad (Sall-Allahu allay wa
Salam).”

 All the acts of superstitions are shirk and greatly


condemned Allah.
 Indeed all acts of shirk worshiping of anything
besides Allah result in various superstitions and
false beliefs
 We must not place our
trust or be dependent
on anything expect
Allah.
 The reason is that these
things can lead to
annihilation of the faith
 There is no doubt that a
believer faces the same
uncertainties in life as
the non-believer but he
faces them with the
help of Allah.
HOW TO GET RID OF SUPERSTITIONS

“If you choose not to believe, superstition has


no weapon against you”

 Instead of hesitating just do it your mind


will realize that nothing will happen.
 Be optimistic in Everything.
 Examine your approach rationally.
 Be SCIENTIFIC not SUPERSTITIOUS.
 We must worship Allah in entirely so that we may
achieve success happiness and security in this world
and in the hereafter.

 It's so sad that even in this day and age people still
believe in all that...
It is not the human destiny to be afflicted with
superstitions: It is just
an evil consequence of unbelief. The light of Islam can
cure it……

 "No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow.”
