INTRODUCTION

 Potable water is essential for life. It is the most

important liquid of nature, without water we can’t live,
the water consumption of poor quality or contaminated
with high presence of pathogenic microorganisms,
causes gastrointestinal diseases, parasitoids, acute
diarrhea and cholera, among others. This project is
focuses on the quality of life of people who live in the
town of berastegui, the municipality of the cienaga de
oro.
PRESENTATION OF THE PROBLEM
 The supply of potable water in rural areas of Colombia is still a latent
problem because it hasn´t been fully guaranteed, due to either lack of
political will, economic resources and the lack of interest from the
community to know the benefits of implementing an adequate water
treatment system.
 the case to study is the one that the residents of the town of Berasategui
live in municipality of cienega de oro the community is currently
affected by the shortage of water generated by a bad management of the
aqueduct system, complicating if the quality of life of the people from
the field of health to the economic field.
THIS IS WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO THE RESITDENT OF THE TOWN OF
BERASTEGUI TO GET A BIT OF POTABLE WATER FOR THEIR HOMES

 POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE
PROBLEM
 From the field of civil engineering, the situation could be studied
more entirety to know what factors prevent the good use of the
aqueduct system, If in the sewage plant where the problem is
generated, then these works can be designed for a certain period of
time where from there made pumping maintenance every 20 days to
improve the pumping of the sewage plant
 From the field of Economics in view that poor water management
causes the problem and therefore economic resources, an exclusive
monitoring system should be implemented for the resources that
enter the municipality and constantly verify its working and the
effective distribution of these, in order to solve the problem of the
shortage of aqueduct in its entirety.
 RECOMMENDATIONS AND
CONCLUSIONS
 Human beings need a lot potable water for its own existence, but only a few litres of
water would be needed, the just to drink, hydrate and cleanse.

 Water isn´t only important as a natural resource, but also as an economic and
industrial resource because it is used in innumerable industrial activities, supposes a
high consumption and almost always is contaminated

 saving water is too much important, is enough to fill more the washing machine, use
regulators in the taps, introduce a brick or a full bottle in the cistern, showering
instead of bathing or shaving or brushing your teeth with the tap closed. All these
attitudes can make us save thousands of liters of water/day.
