• State Bank of India (SBI) is an Indian multinational, public sector banking and financial services
company.
• It is a government-owned corporation with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
• The company is ranked 216th on the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's biggest corporations as
of 2017.
• It is the largest bank in India with a 23% market share in assets, besides a share of one-fourth of
the total loan and deposits market.
• The bank descends from the Bank of Calcutta, founded in 1806, via the Imperial Bank of India,
making it the oldest commercial bank in the Indian subcontinent.
• SBI provides a range of banking products through its network of branches in India and overseas,

CONCLUSION
• State Bank of India shows nominal growth financially. 10 years back in
2008, the share price was approximately 217. Today, in October 2018,
the share is valued at 262.95.
• The profit & Loss account shows that SBI suffered loss of 6,547.45 in
the financial year 2017-18.
• Overall the financial position of SBI has suffered a momentary setback
due to demonetisation but the bank will soon be in a good position
once the market comes to its feet.
