Logging into Canvas for the first time

1: Navigate to
onlinelearning.berkeley.edu
and click the “Forgot
password?”

2: Enter your Berkeley.edu


email address in the Username
field, and click “Request
Password”.

The User Dashboard is the first thing you will see when you log into
Canvas and helps you see what is happening in all your courses and
allows you to figure out what to do next.

appears at the top of every page in Canvas.

-Ask student to arrive early or stay late
-Work with the student to establish test date and time to complete exam
-Contact DSS to arrange for a proctor

-Securing is a shared responsibility between the student, the instructor, and DSS
-Whenever possible, identify a volunteer from the class to take notes
-Refer to DSS for training or assistance

-Audio recording for home access

-Establish exam schedule and details with student

Accessible Downloadable Files


-All required reading materials must be made ‘accessible’ in the format of the
student’s choice (word, PDF, RTF, Braille)
-Remediation process requires at least 3 weeks advanced notice (complex
materials such as math, science files may take longer to remediate)
