Principal focus from this conceptual model is


ability of someone to take care of their/his
self self-supportingly causing is reached
ability to maintain its (the health and
prosperity). This theory also is a base for
nurse in self-supporting of client according
to level of it's.
During 1958-1959 Dorothea Orem as a
consultant in the education department.
And then In the 1965 Orem collaborated
with several faculty members from
universities in America to form the Nursing
Model Committee.
In 1968 parts of the Nursing Model
Committee including Orem continued their
work through the Nursing Development
Conference Group (NDCG), to produce a
conceptual framework from nursing and
establish nursing discipline.
• Theory Self Care is the practice of the activities of
individuals to take the initiative and shape their
behavior in maintaining life, health and well-being.
• Theory self care dificit This theory of nursing is
given if an adult (or in the case of dependence) is
unable or limited in doing self care effectively.
The 5 methods used to help self care:
a. Actions for or do for others.
b. Provide instructions and direction.
c. Provide physical and psychological support.
d. Providing and maintaining an environment that
supports personal development.
e. Education.
Theory nursing system, Nursing agency is a
property or complete attribute given to
people who have been educated and trained
as nurses who can do, know and help others
to find their therapeutic self care needs,
through training and self care agency
development.
3 classification of nursing systems, namely:

A situation where individuals cannot take self care and receive self care
directly and ambulation must be controlled and manipulative movements.
There are three conditions in this category which are unable to take self
care actions such as coma, can make decisions, observations or choices
about self care but cannot do ambulation and manipulative movements,
unable to make the right decisions about the self-care.
A situation where between the nurse and client
take care or other actions and the nurse or patient
has a big role to measure the ability to do self
care.
In this system people can form or can learn to form
internal or external self care but cannot do it
without help. This is also known as the supportive
developmental system.
