  Introduce regional guidelines for diabetes and hypertension
management
 Understand WHO Hearts program guidelines on
Hypertension management
 Develop teaching and learning competencies for training
Workshop programs
Objectives  Develop training plan for the in-country training of care
providers on the updated guidelines for the period January
2019- June 2020
 Assist in creating a culture of the use of the updated
guidelines by contributing to the national monitoring and
evaluation plan for implementing these guidelines, and
supporting quality improvements with the integrated health
systems framework 2
