Epileptic Patient Tracking

Epileptic => Epilepsy (seizure disorder)
• A disorder in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed,
causing seizures.
• During a seizure, a person experiences abnormal behavior, sometimes
including loss of consciousness.
• Epilepsy is usually treated by medication and in some cases by
surgery, device.
• People may experience:
1. Whole body: fainting
2. Psychological: depression or fear
 Seizure detection using Smart Watch
• Tonic-Clonic (Grand mal) Seizure detection:
A type of seizure that involves a loss of consciousness
Triggers: very low blood sugar or a stroke

• Repetitive shaking motion pattern detection using algorithms

Working of System:
1. smart watch detects heart rate(for stroke)

2. After it detects it will automatically sends a text to alert the patient

via a Bluetooth-connected device

3. Also family members will receive the alert include date, time, GPS
location and duration of seizure
Software & Programming Language :
Epileptic Patient Tracking System is a combination
of hardware system and software system.

JAVA language is the main programming language

for this project.

Hardware system consists of Android

Smartwatch(Smart Band) and software system consists
of Android Application.
A web Application is developed using :

Android Application

Firebase (Real Time Database)

Java Programming
