¿HAVE YOU EVER WRITTEN SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE
PARAPHRASED OR DO YOU NOT MENTION EXACTLY?

If so, you've probably used the indirect style, also known as reported speech in
English.
¿WHAT IS IT REPORTED SPEECH?

◦ Reported speech or indirect style is the way you can count, explain, write or say
something in your own words, changing the verb tense to the past.
¿WHAT IS IT USE OF REPORTED SPEECH?

◦ it is used to speak from the point of view of a third person. The indirect style does not
reproduce the literal message, but only the part that interests us; this makes the
message marked by our own opinion.
