Each life we touch is altered

by the imprint of our hand,
We help to mold and make them
to become what God has planned;
But we must choose to focus
on the things that are the best,
To make each life a vessel
that God can truly bless.

I want to fill their lives with knowledge

of the universe God made,
Teach their minds to reason,
and their spirits to obey;
But if they fail to know God loves them,
I’ve missed the most important part.
The heart of the matter is
the matter of the heart.

Their souls are touched by friendships

that will last eternally,
The faces that shared laughter,
the joyful memories;
but Jesus taught the lesson,
there’s no greater love than this,
That a man would lay his life down,
and give it for his friends

the beauty of the pearl,
But there’s no greater lesson
than the one our Savior told,
What if he gains the whole world,
but loses his own soul?
