differentiate it from the competition, and what competitive advantages do they
offer?

Features & Competitive Advantages:

• They have a conveyor belt Standard price also simplifies the customer billing
procedure
• They have a summary of the demand about the needs of the different types of
sushi
• All the workers are treated as a family and focus on customer service
• Just-In-Time inventory
• Reduction in inventory costs and storage space due to JIT and also the need of
personnel to serve customers
• Production-line where even customers are included in the production-line of sushi
by providing the sushi that matches their demand
• Optimal layout
• Low customer contact
3) How has the 100 Yen Sushi House incorporated the just-in-time system
into its operation?

• Agreements with the fish vendors to provide fish several times a day
• Every employee is responsible for the delivery of quality sushi
• CTO- the sushi house follows configure to order topology there is no wastage in
the production
• In delivery of the service (quality and attention to customers) the management is
responsive towards the customer demand
