INDEPENDENCE OF PATIENTS WITH


SKIZOFRENIA

 Schizophrenic is Neurological disease that
affects personal perceptions, thinking,
language, emotion, and social behavior,
patients with schizophrenics often setback to
the disappearance of motivation and
responsibility, not following activities, and
social relationships, the basic abilities that
are interrupted by one of them Activity of
Daily Living (ADL) (Maryatun, 2015)
 Family supports is a form of interpersonal
relationships which protects someone from the
effects of a bad stress (Kaplan and Sadock,
2002). Family support according to Fridman
(2010) is attitude, family acceptance of family
members, in the form of informational support,
assessment support, support instrumental and
emotional support. So family shaman is a form of
interpersonal relations that includes attitudes,
actions and acceptance of family members, so
family members feel someone is watching
 Independence is a condition where the person
is not dependent on authority and does not
need direction. Independence includes the
ability to take care of themselves and solve
their own problems (Paker, 2006)
 Family support is one of the most important causes
of depression, which is not abandoned, or not getting
adequate attention from the family. But many families
do not understand and give less attention. (Santoso,
2009)
 One study reported that 77% felt they needed support
from their families (Rubin and Peyrot 2002). Several
studies on family support have been carried out,
stating the existence of family support relationships
with the patient's conditions, such as the Keljombar
study, 2015 and research by Minarni et al.
 clearly mentioning there is a relationship between
family support and the independence of patients with
skrizophenia
 My study used approximately 40
respondents, with the independence
questionnaire and kats index. with a period of
1 month
 I hope that I can prove that family support
affects the patient's ability to get independent
and finally we can together support patient
with scizophrenia,
