CNC Based Liquid Handling
Device
Introduction
 In chemical laboratories manual dispensing
of liquid is hazardous, time taking process
and controlling quantity is also difficult
 We are designing a prototype to resolve
these issues
 The CNC based Liquid Handling Device will
be a working prototype to dispense the
controlled quantity of chemicals in liquid
form
 This project will facilitate the personnel
working in these labs to perform non-
contact, automated dispensing of liquids in
controlled quantity to specified test tubes.
Introduction (Cont…)

 This will eliminate the chances of

contamination due to manual liquid-handling
and provide safety from hazardous chemicals
 Such a device can be scaled up to use in
other areas including research labs and
industry e.g., It can also be used for
precision printing in electronic industry and
lubrication of micro machines etc.
Problem Statement

 Time consuming
 Manual handling of lab chemicals
 Dispensing with surface contact
 Use of hazardous chemicals
 Contamination issues
 Accurate liquid dispensing requirement
Objectives

 Develop a working prototype that can:

 Dispense the chemical automatically
 Dispense with non-surface contact capability
 Reduce the chances of contamination
 Accurately dispense as per required quantity
 Reduce the procedural time
 Control the operation through computer
