Jin Mao Tower
• Being the third tallest building only
to Shanghai Tower and Shanghai
World Financial Center in mainland
China, Jin Mao Tower is located in
the center of Lujiazui Finance and
Trade Districts in Pudong.

• The 88-stories Jin Mao Tower was


completed in 1999. It is 420.5
meters (almost 1380 feet) tall and
covers an area of 2.3 hectares (5.68
acres). The architect, Adrian D.
Smith, of this skyscraper ingeniously
combined the elements of
traditional Chinese culture with the
newest architectural styles of the
time, which makes it one of the
best-constructed buildings in China.
• This building includes modern offices, a deluxe
5-star hotel - the Grand Hyatt Shanghai,
exhibition halls, banquet halls, an observation
deck, and entertainment facilities which is
situated in the following levels

• Jin Mao Tower, ShanghaiThe tower has the


best elevators available. Two direct elevators
operate at the speed of 9.1 meters (nearly 30
feet) per second that can send visitors from
the ground floor to the 88th floor for only 45
seconds. There are also five to six elevators
every 10 floors, which reduce waiting-time to
35 seconds even during rush hours.

• The basement of the tower is a parking area 3


stories deep, which can hold 800 cars and 2000
bicycles. The parking area is equipped with
360-degree surveillance cameras as a security
feature of the building.
International commerce centre

• International Commerce
Centre (ICC) is the tallest
building in Hong Kong. Not
only the highest in Hong
Kong, the ICC also became
the seventh tallest building
in the world.
• ICC building was completed
in 2010 and located in
Austin Road West Kowloon,
Hong Kong.
• The building has 118 floors the
ground and four underground
floors. The building height reaches
484 meters.

• Unfortunately, not everyone can


enjoy the view from the highest
point in the building. This is
because the 102 floor until 118
floor where is the location-owned
Ritz-Carlton Hotel Hong Kong. But
instead, the general public can
visit the observation deck on the
100 floor and called Sky100.
Bank of Chinese (BOC) Tower

Bank of China (BOC) Tower is located at No.1,


Garden Road, a flourishing centre of activity
in Hong Kong's business and financial core.
The building was constructed over a period of
four years and four months commencing in
April 1985. Completed for occupancy in
August 1989, the building was opened in May
1990, towering 70 floors above the ground
floor level and offering parking in four
basement levels. The tower structure of 315
metres and two masts of 50 odd metres give
the building its aspiring height of 367.4
metres which in 1989, made it the tallest in
Hong Kong as well as the fifth by height in the
world. It is still one of the tallest office
buildings in Hong Kong.

• The BOC Tower is a masterpiece of the
world-renowned Chinese-American
architect I.M. Pei. His inspiration for the
building's construction was the elegant
stature of bamboo, its sectioned trunk
reaching higher and higher with each new
growth. The Tower is symbolic of strength,
vitality, growth and enterprise,
representing Bank of China (Hong Kong)'s
rapid development. The building is
characterised by a harmonious blend of
modern architecture with traditional
Chinese design. Its four prism-shaped
shafts reflect the sun's rays like a glittering
crystal. A geometrical work of art clad in a
curtain wall of glass and aluminum, BOC
Tower rises majestically from its Central
location to command a spectacular
panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour
