Grevillea R.Br.

ex Knight
Prostrate to erect shrubs, to large tree size. Small to medium, alternate leaves can be any one of a number of arrangements
including compound, pinnate, bipinnate and more. Leaves lack stipules and a persistant basal meristem. Monoecious, with
elongate flower inflorescences attached by a common bract. The brightly coloured, petal-less flowers consist of a calyx tube
that splits into 4 lobes with long styles. Pollinated by insects, birds or mammals. Non-fleshy, mostly thin walled fruit drops
before next growing season. Fruits typically contain two seeds, and are often winged, forming a dicotyledon.
