Spain introduced Christianity

into the Philippines.

 God the Father

 Brotherhood

BUT THEY SELDOM PRACTICED

ITS WONDERFUL DOCTRINE.
 They regarded the converted
Filipinos as inferior beings.
 They regarded coverted Filipinos
not as brother Christians.
 They call the Filipinos “Indio”
because of their skin color, height
of their nose, color of their hair,
and shape of their skull.
Racial prejudice is dominant in:
 Government officers

 Courts of justice

 Armed forces

 Social circles

 Educational institutions
They came here to promote
Christianity,

but why is it that their doings

are way too opposite from
their agenda?
Father Jose Burgos(1837-1872)
According to him, skin pigment, hair color,
appearance or race is not a hindrance to
make an individual successful.

It is in ones self’s determination,

vision and devotion to its
dreams.
Which is better,
A Spaniard who has all the privileges,
opportunity and wealth to study law
and theology but has no vision for
his future…
Or
A Filipino who lacks all the things
that the Spaniard do have but has
the determinition to achieve his
dream to become a lawyer?
We should all be determined
to achieve our dreams in life.

We have now all the access

and opportunities for our
education.

We are no longer slaves.

Dr. Jose Rizal fought for our
freedom and we are now
free from Spaniards.

We can make our country

wonderful than it is
before.
