ORGANICA

VILLA
Organica Villa – Background

• Small size plants (<3MLD) is a big and fast moving market which
could give us regular business, if we manage to be competitive on
CAPEX.

• With current design, scope of Organica is easily more than 60% of

the value of the total contract in projects smaller than 3 MLD.

• This needs to be revisited and optimized, otherwise we are locked

out from this market.

• The Organica Villa concept arises to be able to compete, by

optimizing the CAPEX of small size plants from a technical and
commercial angle.

Organica Villa – Fact Sheet

• Organica Villa is a conventional OW plant, with our standard scope of

supply (BM, PR, Diffusers, DF, C&I) optimized for competing in small
size applications, covering capacities from 12 m3/h up to 250 m3/h
(0.3MLD – 6MLD).

• Organica Villa is NOT a packaged plant.

• Organica Villa concept is based on a pre-engineered platform, where

main components are already designed (mechanical building,
biological reactor, C&I).

• All Organica Villas are designed as Organica FCR WWTP + phase

separation (IFAS is not a Villa)

Technical Overview – Sizes and Capacities

• Sizing based on Pre-Engineered packages, comprising:

• Four (4) possible hydraulic units
• Ten (10) possible reactor volumes

• The 4 hydraulic units and the 10 biological reactors can be coupled

creating a matrix of 22 different possibilities, which allows selecting
the best configuration to meet the project requirements, in terms
of hydraulics (Q average, Qpeak) and biology (influent and effluent
requirements)

Technical Overview – Selection Matrix

• Evaluate the project requirements and drivers: Is it suitable for a

Villa Design? If yes, evaluate PF, select hydraulic size and…
• Run OCS / Process Department: Determine the biological reactor
volumen.

Technical Features – Main Mechanical Equipment

• Each hydraulic size design includes a pre-defined set of main

mechanical equipment:
– 1 x Combined pretreatment unit (screen + grit removal)
– (1+1) x Aeration blowers
– 1 x Phase separation (drum/disc filter)
– 1 x UV disinfection

• Following OW scope of supply, phase separation is included in our

supply. The pretreatment unit, blowers and UV are NOT in included
in our scope.
• The partner will have the final decision regarding their scope, but if
selected differently from the pre-set, the Villa engineering will NOT
be modified / adapted to partner selection.

Technical Features – Reactor Configuration

• Organica Villa reactors incorporate Integrated Settlers.

• Hopper-bottom settlers are present in the last two FCR reactors.
• Benefits:
– Reduce the TSS solids exiting the FCR to 50 mg/l (even less)

– Reduce the size of the phase separation equipment

– Minimize the risk of phase separation equipment failure

– Reduce the necessity of chemical addition in phase separation.

of travels.
• Reduced Sampling and Testing (train partners during commissioning,
use test kits when posible, minimize third parties intervention, offload
tasks to partners).
