Overview

 Human system is made of three bodies.

 Physical body - made of flesh and blood. Not much

evolution possible.

 Subtle or astral or mental body - associated with energy

and vibration(Heart and mind)

 Causal body - associated with the absolute state of

nothingness, the substratum of existence. It is pure,
unchanging and immutable, so it is does not need to
evolve.
Subtle body

 Subtle body can be filled with turbulence, due to the
many impressions that form on a daily basis.

 When the impressions become more fixed, they lodge in

our system creating heaviness and knots of energy.

 They are known in the yogic literature as Samskaras.

Samskaras

Our orientation – our attraction or repulsion –
creates an emotion in our heart… It forms an impression.
When we repeat that emotion again and again,
it forms a deeper habitual pattern in our heart,
that becomes more and more fixed as a Samskara.”
Points where impression
do settle

 Each impression is drawn by its vibration to a particular
center in the human system.
 There are four major points where impressions do settle.

 Point A
 Point B
 Point C
 Point D
Point A

 When we are constantly worrying about our worldly
problems, a level of anxiety and worry builds up, and
accordingly this forms heaviness in the heart.

 When we constantly think about worldly problems and

brood over them it affects point A, which is found close to
the heart on the left side of the chest.
Point B

 Another part of human existence is our attraction
towards the opposite sex.
 When it is in moderation it is tolerable, but when it
overburdens us those impressions form at point B.
Point C

 Another kind of impressions are strong likes and dislikes
or prejudices for and against certain things and people.
 Those impressions are deposited at point C.
Point D

 Guilt is one of the heaviest impressions we can form.
 It arises out of something we did not do but should have
done, or something we did but should not have done.
 Guilt gives rise to so much heaviness in the heart.
 This heaviness gets deposited at point D.
Locating the points

 To find point A, measure two finger widths to the right
side to your left nipple, and then three fingers down.
 Go two finger widths further down from point A to find
point B.
 Go two finger widths further down from point B to find
point C. It will be on the lowest rib, directly underneath
points A and B.
 Go two finger widths to the left to find point D, exactly
below the nipple.

Alternate method

Point A meditation

 To achieve the correction of gross tendencies, point A is
used for meditation.
 It is highly effective for correcting self indulging
tendencies as well as promoting a feeling of universal
brotherhood.
 This meditation is to be done before going to bed for not
more than 10 minutes.
Point A meditation

 For Brothers:

Fix your attention on point A, with the thought that all the
women and men of the world are your sisters and brothers.
Hold your thought on this while you meditate on point A,
believing this to be reality.

 For Sisters:
Think that all the divine gifts are available to you and that
all the men and women of the world think that they are
brothers and sisters and your thought is one with theirs.
Point B cleaning

 Point B cleaning is highly effective for correcting self
indulging tendencies.
 This process is to be done before beginning your morning
meditation, but never for more than 10 minutes.

 Fix your attention on point B and imagine that all

impurities and grossness are going out from point B from
the front of the body.
 Imagine that as this process is going on, the glow of the
Atman, begins to appear from behind.
