 Application Procedures
Application Procedure – For Concrete Decks

1. All concrete surfaces shall be overlaid with a minimum of 1” Cement screed

2. Surface provided shall be duly rendered to a smooth finish and bone dry.
3. A coat of bituminous primer will be applied and left till it touch- dry.
4. All junctions (if any) of sloping roof with a vertical wall or valley gutter if any
will be lined with one feet wide flashing membrane
5. Starter course will be fixed at the bottom of sloping roof surface (Eave
edge) before commencing the application of CERTAINTEED shingles.
6. CERTAINTEED shingles will then be fastened using approved Corrosion
resistant nails, at suitable distance as per manufacturer’s specifications.
7. The front part of the shingle shall be stuck to the subsequent shingle using
the self-adhesive tape provided at the bottom.
