 Definition of explanation text
Explanation is a text which tells processes
relating to forming of natural, social, scientific
and cultural phenomena.
Explanation text is to say ‘why’ and ‘how’ of the
forming of the phenomena.
 Generic Structure of Explanation
Text
- General statement
stating the phenomenon issues which are to be
explained.
- Sequenced of explanation
stating a series of steps which explain the
phenomena
 Why Indonesia is bad at lawmaking?
Law is the system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as
General Structure → regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of
penalties.

Law enforcement in Indonesia is still very weak. It can be seen from the failure to
achieve the main objective of the law in Indonesia, namely justice for all its people. It

seems very difficult to get justice in this country, even though the law in Indonesia

has been arranged very well if it is in the right way. But the reality that is now is that
the law in Indonesia is not in accordance with what it should be.

There are two main factors why law in Indonesia cannot work properly. First, the
existing legal apparatus has NOT been optimal in carrying out their role as law
enforcers, as seen from the lack of practice of the existing professional ethics by law
enforcement officers. The second factor is the lack of awareness of the community
will be less important to obey the law, so that the law can be in accordance with its
function of maintaining order or existing patterns of life, seen from violations of law
from the smallest, such as littering until drug trafficking, etc.
