    Apa itu VMI?
     VMI merupakan salah satu strategi yang
    memiliki waktu pengisian (replenishment)
    yang singkat dan diiringi dengan frekuensi
    pengiriman yang tepat waktu sehingga
    mampu meminimasi biaya persediaan
    (Simchi-Levi dkk, 2000).
     Pada VMI, supplier memiliki wewenang untuk
    menentukan order quantity yang akan
    dikirimkan ke retailer berdasarkan informasi
    data penjualan dan tingkat persediaan yang
    telah ditetapkan.
