10 SUMMARY OF LITERATURE:
• It is observed that parametric study on RCC T beam girder bridges deals with variation in span
length for straight bridge and variation in radius for curved bridge.
• More studies are done on finding the impact factors for Shear force and bending moment for
integral abutment bridges and simply supported bridges.
• Further various approaches are there to find the seismic response of the bridge. More analytical
and varieties of mathematical models are made to study the seismic behavior of the bridge.
• Researches are done for finding the Live load Distribution factors according to the American
codes.
• More comparative studies have been performed on the types of super-structure. Mostly T-Beam
girder bridge and Box girder.
• Very few studies have been done considering the various parameters of the T-Beam girder bridge.
• Also very less researches are performed considering the optimization of the cost of girder.
11 AIM OF THE STUDY: To carry out parametric study on RCC T-Beam Girder

bridge located across river and optimize the cost of the project.
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY:

• To study the parametric behavior of reinforced cement concrete T beam girder.

• To perform optimization of steel and concrete in the girder design.


12 SCOPE OF STUDY:

• The present study is limited to single span of the bridge across a river.

• Parametric study on the RCC T-Beam bridge, is limited to:

• Linear static analysis

• The geometry of the girder is restricted as per the standard plans for the

bridges published by the Ministry of Transport.

• For the present study prestressing system is not considered.
