:Women In India:
 The status of women in India has been subject to many
great changes over past few millennia.
 From equal status with men in ancient times through the
low points of the medieval periods, to the promotion of
equal rights by many reformers, the history of women in
India has been eventful.
 In modern India, women have adorned high offices in
India including that of the President, Prime minister,
Speaker of the Loka Sabha etc.
:Women Discrimination:

During the early years of the country, women were not

entitled to the same rights and privileges as men like
 Women are not allowed to vote
 Women were usually required to surrender control of
their property to their husband upon marriage.
 Their educational and occupational opportunities were
severally limited.
 Child marriage and widows can’t remarriage
:Problem in Society
for Women:
1. Selective Abortion & Female infanticide:
It is the act of aborting a fetus because it is female.
2 . Dowry & Bride Burning:
After marriage demands are often made on bride’s family. It is
no surprise then that is one of the main reason why families prefer
to put girls sleep in the womb.
3. Child Marriage:
Many people marry their daughter off as children to escape
from dowry. In rural India, 70% girls are married before 18 and
56% of those bear children before 19.

Among the worst Countries in crime, India has an abhorrent
track record in all forms of sexual exploitation. No place is safe.

for Women:
5. Disparity in Education:
Girls education is another area that is languishing in our
country. According to last census held in 2001, female literacy in
the country stood at 54.16%, the highest ever.

There are some other problems that

women do face like,

the conversation.

human beings through acceptance of identifies different from
one’s own.

Share responsibilities of creating safe environments for
vulnerability to be expressed.
:Solution:
 Get Involved:
Acknowledge that your actions are crucial to the creation
of fairness and accountability. Identify your commitments.
Speak about them and act on them.
 Educate next Generation:
Listen actively and seek understanding. Share experience
and knowledge to grow wisdom.
 Know Your Rights:
Human rights are Women’s rights and Women’s rights
are human rights. At their most basic, human right concern
reciprocity in human relationship that extend to all humanity
and beyond
:Conclusion:
In Conclusion, Women’s rights have become better, but there
are still some issues. I think women should have a voice to talk
about their problems. That is the major way to solve the problem.
Women should also involve
in all kind fields like sports,
politics, education, business
etc. I think when the same
number of men and women
belong to any area it will
make a fair society and
country.
