in india? Vyshnavi April batch GL Initial clarifications and Assumptions: excluding the chocolate milkshakes ,candies and all the other bakery items made from chocolates such as cakes etc considering all the chocolate bars made from the cocoa powder including all the chocolates from toffees from 5 gm’s to 1 kg bar etc Demographics:
Considering Population of India is 1billion, there would be
100 crore consumers Out of which 15 crores would be of old age people ,which are to be excluded from the consumer list because they wont be eating due to obvious reasons like diabetes, sugar etc but if we assume some people eating sugarless chocolates the 4 crores can be taken into account. 0-2 year kids will not be consuming chocolates as there will be strict nutritional food to be given. Dividing into 3 groups 1.children from 3-14 yrs 2.youth from 15-40 3.middle age from 40-60 4.old age 60+ Calculations
Children=30 crores*2 per day on an average=60 crore chocolates per day.
Youth are again divided into male and females. Assuming females eat more chocolates. Out of 25 crores assuming 13 crores male and 12 crores females. Then 12*2+13*1 chocolate per day on an average=37 crore chocolates. Middle age –out of 30 crores considering only 15 crores of people=15*1=15 crore chocolates. Old age =15 crores then 5*1 chocolate per day then=5 crores. Summing up to 117 crores of chocolates per day.
