Development of Automated

Production of Bio Briquette Coal

from Dried Organic Materials
Background of the
study

Fuel has always been a necessary need

of man. Whether from developed or third
world countries, people around the world
need fuel for everyday living. In preparing
our basic necessities like food and clean
water, we need fuel. Usually, we rely on
electricity and fossil fuel like liquefied
petroleum gas and kerosene for our energy
need. Some nationalities use firewood and
charcoal. However, there are other
resources which have more advantages
and benefits that these conventional
sources. One such fuel is the Briquette.
Objectives of the study

The general objective of this study is to

develop an automated production of bio
briquette from the conventional briquetting
machine.
Specifically, this study aimed to:
• Design an automated prototype machine
that will transform dried organic material
into bio briquettes that can be a
substitute from commonly used charcoals
out of woods and trees.

• Automated production of briquetting

machine from feeding to packaging
process.

Scope and Delimitations:

The general scope of the study is to

design an automated prototype machine
that will transform dried organic material
into bio briquettes that can be a substitute
from commonly used charcoals out of
woods and trees that is considered the
prime factor for fast depletion of green
forest causing imbalance in the ecosystem.
The Briquettes are flammable blocks of
matter used as fuel. They are made from
extruded or compressed shredded organic
materials.
