DEFINATION:
The successful application of many types of solid state sensor has
stimulated the market but led to a demand for either a lower unit
cost or an enhanced functionality to improve the market value.
in other words one can proposes that a device onto which at least
one sensing element and signal processing circuit has been integrated
Is a smart sensor.
In order to define more carefully.It is necessary to subdivide into a
(1) Signal preprocessor (converter)
(2) Main processing unit(microprocessor)
(1) BETTER MANAGEMENT- It helps to manage the different instrument which is applied
in the system.
(2) PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE- it provide preknowldge about the instrument that it is in
proper working condition or not. So that we take precaution before our instrument
got damage.
(3) ACCURATE PREDICTION- It provide accurate data of our instrument . So that we have a
proper knowledge of our instrument.
AGRICULTURE- Smart sensor can play a vital role in agriculture field. If one have a proper
knowledge of sensor. One can install sensor in their field to check humidity level in their field.
so that he can know that when their crop need water and how much of it need water. One can
connect sensor with his mobile so that he can get notification of problem if the is problem.
One can also install sensor to check the ph level, nitrogen and other factor.
Generally in all the industry mainly motor is used. One can install the sensor to check the
working condition of motor. For a motor a temperature is defined under which motor is in
proper working condition. Temperature should not exceed than 70 degree Celsius. If one get
To know that his motor is overheated then he can switch off the motor.
Another sensor can also be install to check the amplification, power factor and other factor.
These increases the life of instrument.
(1)Longer life of equipment- sensor increases the life of instrument. Because it sensor the
problem before the Instrument get damage.
(2) Less waste- If we use sensor we produce less waste because our equipment will
become more durable.
(3)Internet of things- if we connect sensor with our mobile phones then we get
notification if there is any problem with our instrument. This thing save our time and
money.
