Artificial feeding

Artificial feeding

 The sort of feeding during the first 6

months of his life when child doesn’t
receive maternal milk or it makes 1/5
and less daily volume of food
mixes

 Adapted: sweet an sweet and sour-milk

mixes

 Non-adapted: sweet an sweet and sour-

milk mixes
Highly adapted – in their composition, there are
biologically components (taurine, lecithin,
choline, inositol)
Nutrilon, SMA, Humana,HIPP-1,Neonatal, NAN,
Tutelli, Bona
They are used from the first day of life.
Less adapted - they contain protein of cow’s
milk (casein) Impress,Similac,Nutrilon-
2,Enfamil
They are used from4-6 month
Adapted sweet dairy mixes
 Ukraine-Malutka, Malyatko-M, Malysh, Vitalakt, Detolact
 Russia Malutka 1,2,3 plus
 Holland Nutrilon, Neonatal, Top-Top
 Germany Humana, Impress
 Slovenia Pikomil
 Croatia Babypapa
 Finland Check Bona, Tutteli
 Switzerland – Nan, Nestogen, Alfare, Pelargon
 USA – SMA, Similac, Enfalac,Puleva-1
 United Kingdom –Premium,Ostermilk,Babymisek,Heiz
 AustriaHIpp Pre,HIPP-1, HIPP-2
 Japan-MEDGI
 New ZeaLand NENNI(of goat milk)
Protein of adapted mixes

 The amount of proteins is reduced up to

that in female milk. Similar approximation of
content of albuminous Fractions is very
important: the amount of albumins and
globulins is increased, and amount of casein
is reduced, ratio between them is 3:2
 Taurine, lecithin, choline and inositol were
added to mixes
 Fats: In the adapted dairy mixes the exact
composition of fatty acidic is formed
 Carbohydrates: lactose, dextrin-maltose,
dextrin – maltose to which biphidogenity is
inherent
 Vitamins: the quantity of fat-soluble and
water-soluble vitamins is changed
C,D,E

Partially adapted- they non contain fatty acids
and bioactive component
 Malutka,Detolact,Vitalact
Prophylaxis and treatment mixes

Nutrilon antireflux – for children

suffering from regurgitation gat’s
Antiallergic mixes-nutrilon soya,
NAN-sour-milk,hypoallergic
NAN1H.A.,NAN2H.A.
Detolact-2-profilactic anemia
Mixes without gluten Humana HN
With phenilketonuria Phenyl-Fri
The adapted sour-milk mixes
Malyatko-M,Vitalact, Nutrilon, Bona
Difference in the process of their pro
Protein in them is in curdle condition
These stimulate function of salivary glands
Increasing of function of gastrointestinal tract
Promote absorption of food in intestinus
Stimulate bile secretion
Normalize metabolism
Stimulate hemopoesis
Influence on nonspecific immunity favorably
Promote physical development of child
Non adapted dairy mixes

 Are food stuffs for infants that are

prepared from fresh or dry animal’s milk
without special processing
 They are sweet
 Sour-milk
 Sweet non adapted dairy mixes are
usual animal’s milk
 All non adapted mixes, depending on
degree of delution, are dided into two
groups –mix2(B-mix) and mix-3(C-mix)
 In the first 2 weeks of the life receives mix-2
(B-mix, in which ratio of the cow’s milk –and
broth is 1:1)
 Depending on structure of both such mixes are
named B-rice, B-buckwheat
 From 2 weeks till 3 months the mix3(C-
mix)ratio of the cow’s milk and broth is 2:1(C-
rise,C-buckwheat)
 After 3 months cow’s milk without dilution is
used
Non-adapted sour –milk mixes

 The kefir diluted with rise broth

 B-kefir and c –kefir
 Acidofil milk
 Milk Biolact
They are made of cow’s milk by
fermentation with lactobacillus
Speciality of the principles of
artificial feeding and it ‘s calculation
Prepared fresh mix can be given using a
sterilised bottle and nipple
The hoil in the small nipple may be
enlarged with just the tip of not needle
and in such a way that milk should
dribble from the rubber teat as the bottle
is inverted
 The mix should be sterilised and warmed
up to 37-38C
 In case of need prepared mix can be
kept at room temperature not more 40
min, in refrigeration-24 hours
 Daily volume of food is same in artificial
and natural feeding
 Weaning is given, as during natural
feeding
Сhild who is on artificial feeding should
receive more protein, that during natural
Necessary amount of fats and
carbohydrodrates is same
The energy required in kcal doesn’t
depend on the kind of feeding
