TOPIC - ADJOINT OF A MATRIX
WHAT IS ADJOINT OF A MATRIX ?

Let A=[aij] be a square matrix of order n . The adjoint of

a matrix A is the transpose of the cofactor matrix of A .
It is denoted by adj A . An adjoint matrix is also called
an adjugate matrix.
ADJOINT OF A MATRIX = Adj A

𝐓
Adj A = [𝐂𝐢𝐣 ]

Where, 𝐶𝑖𝑗 is the Co-factors matrix of A

And [𝐶𝑖𝑗 ]𝑇 is the transpose of 𝐶𝑖𝑗

EXAMPLES

Find the adjoint of a matrix.

SOLUTION

STEP 1 :

Finding all the cofactors.

SOLUTION

STEP 2 :
