William Henry Gates (Bill Gates) is an American business magnate, investor,

author, philanthropist, and humanitarian. He is best known as the founder
of Microsoft Corporation.
Melinda Ann Gates (Melinda Gates) is an American philanthropist and a former
general manager at Microsoft.

It was 1987, and the recent Duke graduate had just joined Microsoft as a
product manager. Bill Gates approached her at a company picnic and asked if
she'd be interested in grabbing dinner in two weeks. She responded, "That's not
spontaneous enough for me"
Fast-forward three decades, Bill and Melinda Gates are married with three kids
and run a namesake philanthropic enterprise.

Melinda Gates was born on August 15, 1964, in Dallas, Texas. She took a job
at Microsoft Corporation in 1987 and married her boss, Bill Gates, in 1994.
That year, she and her husband co-founded what was later to become the Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation.
Gates has consistently been ranked as one of the world's most powerful women
by Forbes.
