CIBIL REPORT (CIR)

WHAT IS A CIBIL REPORT?

• Gives a summary of the credit history of a person


• On the basis of credit history, a CIBIL score/ rank is allotted, which
indicates the probability of default
• Helps in determining the loan eligibility
• Two types of reports:
1. Consumer Credit Information Report
2. Commercial Credit Information Report
CONSUMER CREDIT
INFORMATION REPORT
CREDIT SCORE
• A three digit numeric summery of your credit history
• Value ranges between 300 (high risk) to 900 (low risk)
• Derived by details in the Accounts and Enquiries section of the CIR
• Looks into the credit history of past 36 months

Drivers Licence and
Voter ID, that have
been reported by the
lenders will appear in
this section
CONTACT INFORMATION
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

Gives details about your income as well as the occupation

INFORMATION
It includes the
following details:
1. Dates
2. Account Status
3. Collateral
4. Payment History
DAYS PAST DUE (DPD)
000: Payment made on time
XXX: information for these months has not been reported to CIBIL by the banks.
030 (or any number): payment is late by that many days
ASSET CLASSIFICATION
• Standard (STD): Payments being made within 90 days
• Special Mention Account (SMA): Special account created for
reporting Standard Accounts moving toward Sub-Standard
• Sub-Standard (SUB): Payments being made after 90 days
• Doubtful (DBT): The account has remained Sub-Standard for 12
months
• Loss (LSS): An account where loss has been identified and remains
uncollectible
ENQUIRY INFORMATION

• This section provides details regarding the enquiry made by the lender for your credit application such as name of
the lender, date of the application, the type of loan and its size.
• Higher number of enquiries in a short period of time indicates a behaviour of seeking excessive credit

COMMERCIAL CREDIT
INFORMATION REPORT
WHAT IS COMMERCIAL CREDIT REPORT
(CRR)?
• CCR is the record of your company’s credit history which is created with the
data submitted to the CIBIL by lending institutions across India.
• Your past payment behavior is the strong indication of your future credit
activity.
• It is therefore important to understand that loan providers rely heavily on
the CCR to evaluate and prepare loan application.
IDENTIFICATION
This section contains Report Order Number, a unique number generated every time your report is accessed
from CIBIL database.

ENQUIRY INFORMATION
This section contains search parameters like name of the company, an identifier and
address/ addresses.
BORROWER PROFILE
This section contains the
latest reported demographic
information of your
company. It is divided into
four sub-sections:
 BORROWER DETAILS: include
company name, legal
constitution, class of activity, etc.
 ADDRESS AND CONTACT
DETAILS: include registered
office address, telephone
number, etc.
 IDENTIFICATION DETAILS:
include company PAN, company
registration number, etc.
 DELINQUENCIES REPORTED ON
THE BORROWER: includes
payment status of the company
or the guarantors.
CIBIL RANK
This section in CCR provides CIBIL RANK.

CIBIL RANK is the summary of CCR in the form of one number. It ranges between the scale of 10 and 1.

If the value is NA, it means that we are unable to generate the CIBIL RANK for CCR. This is because the CIBIL
RANK is provided only to the businesses that have outstanding loans between 10 lac to 50 crore.
CREDIT
PROFILE
SUMMARY
This section provides

and type of lenders, total
outstanding amount, open
credit facility and payment
status of the credit facilities
availed by the company or
the guarantor.
ENQUIRY SUMMARY
DEROGATORY INFORMATIONS
Information pertaining
to wilful defaults, suit
filed, write-offs, credit
facilities
invoked/devolved,
overdue credit facilities
and count of
dishonoured cheques of
the borrower entity and
related
parties/guarantors, are
reported in this section.
OUTSTANDING BALANCE DETAILS
• This section
provides an
overview of asset
classification (AC).

• AC is done on the
basis of days past
due(DPD), which is
then bifurcated
into Standard and
Non-Standard.
LOCATION DETAILS
• This section lists additional contact information of the company.
• It also displays the number of lenders reporting each of the contact
detail pertaining to the company.
RELATED PARTY DETAILS
A related party
can be an
individual or an
entity.
Demographic
information
about all related
parties of the
company are
detailed in this
section.
CREDIT FACILITY DETAILS: AS BORROWER
This section is
divided into
following sub-
sections:
• Credit facility
details
• payment status
for the last 24
months
• overdue details –
DPD and amount
• cheques
dishonoured
details for the last
12 months.
CREDIT FACILITY DETAILS: AS GUARANTOR
• This section
contains details
about the credit
facilities
guaranteed by the
company.
• It also captures
demographic
information of the
entities being
guaranteed.
SUIT FILED DETAILS
A consolidated list of suit filed information reported by all lenders for the company is displayed under this
section.
CREDIT RATING SUMMARY

This section contains latest three credit rating information assigned to


the company by an external accredited rating agency, as reported by
the lenders to the bureau.
ENQUIRY DETAILS
• details regarding the enquiry made by the lender for your company’s
credit application
