Photoshoot

I had a photoshoot for my cover in the

corner of my living room. The window to
the left of me allowed a lot of natural light
to come in as the sun set, creating an
angelic sun flare on all the images. I knew
then I wanted to make the sun shine more
dramatic, making the photo look
overexposed like the main and other
images on my artist website. I continued
the yellow motif established in both the
video and website with the yellow dress I
was wearing.

ironing board.
Design process
From there, I used the photo editor on Wix to add text to the image and
alter light, shadows and highlights etc. This was all done to continue the
over exposed aesthetic I had started with the other images on the website
that not only gave everything a homemade, vintage vibe, but made
everything seem a like a dream.
The original design was darker, had a thicker black serif font for the title
and similarly for the artist name but in white. This colour palette matched
that established on the website and in the music video. The image
however did not fit like this on the websites music album cover window. I
had to edit it down to more of a square shape, and in doing so, I had to
move the text around and switch the colour arrangement to make sure
the text would stand out behind the colour behind it. The text was also
First design Final design made to be less bold to make it more delicate and less harsh, matching
with the hazy simple style of the artist persona. I also added an underline
to make the title match with the polished feel of the serif font and draw
the audiences attention to the title. The title, although a question, doesn’t
have a question mark and is not the complete lyric as seen in the song;
“Would you be so kind as to fall in love with me”. This creates a sense of
incompleteness and mystery for the audience, pushing them to find out
what the meaning behind the title is. I also strengthened the sun flare to
make it brighter, then turned the temperature of the phot up to make it
seem warmer. This all together makes the album feel romantic and almost
angelic with the lights shining on the artist.
