the company was founded by SAM WALTON in 1962
and incorporated on october 31,1969.
HISTORY
In 1945, businessman and former J.C.PENNEY
employee SAM WALTON bought a branch of the BEN
FRANKLIN stores from the Butler Brothers.
In 1950 Walton open up a new store Walton’s five and
Dime and now it is known as Walmart Museum
After incorporation 1962 the name was changed to
WAL-Mart Stores, Inc.
