CHAPTER 1
Introduction
• ICT has facilitated new methods of communication
among workers that are dispersed and involved in
many company collaborative projects
• Workers are associated with more than one
workgroup and there are fourteen types of
workgroup exist in an organization.
• Collaborative Working Environment (CWE) –
collaborative workspace (CW) to facilitate the
collaborative activities by using set of collaborative
tools and applications.
• Collaborative Workspace– standard workflow
routines and unpredictable and spontaneous
activities
CHAPTER 1
Research Questions
• How digital communication media in collaborative
group activity can be dynamically shared among
users that are attached to more than one group
activity?
• How shared digital communication media is
controlled and coordinated by multiuser in inter-
group, intra-group and sub-group for multiple
communication activity?
• How can any type of communication media be
dynamically shared with users that are attached with
various kinds of group activities?

• Multidimensional Group Communication occurs when
i) one or more group members’ perform the subgroup communication
ii) representatives of small group interact with other small groups
(intragroup communication), and one of the group members of a small
group perform subgroup communication
iii) the group owner of 𝑔1 interact with other group 𝑔2 owner privately

CHAPTER 6
CONCLUSION
• Allow multiple communication activity and
integration of combinatory human-to-human
and human-to-communication relationship in
group formation
• Avoids the usage of third party and informal
communication channel, strict collaborative
communication model and inflexible
supporting tool
• Communication activity with
multidimensional-oriented development is a
novel and practical approach
