Mañana Habit

Bahala Na!
Mañana Habit
• “Mañana” means ‘tomorrow’ or ‘specified future time’
• It’s “in the indefinite future (used to indicate procrastination –
the action of delaying or postponing something)”, or
“mamaya na” in Filipino
• Something that we have learned from the Spaniards.
• Mañana Habit is a behavior that many Filipinos share, it enco
urages procrastination and with it the practice of cramming
and sometimes even leads to the failure to accomplish tasks.
BAHALA NA is a HABIT!
Habit is an acquired pattern of behaviour that often
occurs unthinkingly and automatically, it’s a pattern of
behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition. No
amount of planning or preparation can change this. The
only way to change a habit is to replace it with
another habit.
The Cycle of Mañana Habit

Three Important Words to Remember
“Do. It. Now.”
(1) Do.
Only action can beat procrastination. Drag your feet if you have to.
Starting is the only challenging part. Jump start your way into it.
(2) It.
Face whatever needs to be done. Don’t do anything else. There’s
always an excuse that you can say. But don’t give in.
(3) Now.
Not later or in the future. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Even if
you don’t feel like doing it. You will appreciate what you did when
you reap the benefits.
“Just Do It”
It is a slogan phrase that was popularized
by Nike in one of their marketing campaigns.
It’s a good slogan to remember and practice.
Don’t think it. Don’t plan too long. Don’t make
excuses. JUST DO IT!
In Business,
 This habit has made people become lazier and
less efficient in doing tasks.
 It is also one of the greatest reasons why
employees become less productive and why
they give their outputs late which prevents
themselves and business from growing.
 Since it made the employee lazier, it caused us
to achieve less profit instead of achieving higher
profit because it caused us to miss a lot of
opportunities.

VERY MUCH!
