PRINCIPLES
• Gas chromatography is a separation technique
in which volatile solutions migrate through
columns containing stationary phases.
• Separation in gas chromatography is based on
the boiling point of a compound reduced by
all possible interactions between the solute
and the stationary phase.
• The mobile phase is a gas operator (helium or
nitrogen).
