BOGOTA proclaimed Bogotá as the World Capital of


the 2007 book in recognition of the literary

thousand ceramic objects, representing the
largest collection of pre-Hispanic
goldsmiths of the world. Also noteworthy
are the Botero Museum, the Museum of
Modern Art, the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán House
as well as the Maloka headquarters that
attract a considerable number of visitors,
especially among the children population

Problems of
• The Transmilenio, a mass transit system made up of fast transit buses,
moves 2,600,000 users per day. But at peak hours it can not cope. 4

• The second big problem that identifies people is (19%) the insecurity

• The high level of overcrowding, the lack of medicines and supplies and
the deficiency in supply, the delay in appointments, in addition to the
writing, the assignment of diagnoses, procedures and referrals are
some of the main issues that continue to affect the health system of
Bogotá

• Unemployment in Bogotá :Until last month, there were 393,777


unemployed people in Bogota, according to the National Administrative
Department of Statistics (Dane) Considerable figure if we take into
account that the city's population that is able to work and is looking for
a job is 2 656,000. The number has increased by 161,000 people,
compared to March last year.

• Corruption: In Colombia there is growing indignation at the various acts


of corruption by the government, but citizens are not free from this
practice and there are multiple conducts that could be considered acts
of corruption, or that corrupt society

the ages of 5 and 17 work and their right to work is being violated.And

their parents working in the streets of the city to help their families
financially. To prevent these figures from increasing in Bogota and
Colombia, the Ministry of Labor has a group of inspectors so that the
rights of minors are not violated.

• Malnutrition:In the last days in Bogota, a seven-month-old baby died of


malnutrition, which is why the Secretary of Health of Bogotá He referred to
