ORIENTATION
The book’s tittle is Anne of Avonlea. This book is
illustrated by Dan Andreasen, and retold from the Lucy
Maud Montgomery. It was first published in 1909. The
original version is by Kathleen Olmstead. This novel
was Published by Sterling Publishing Co.
Montgomery had brought up with a traditional
Scots Presbyterian education. This story has been filmed
but in different tittle, It’s Anne of Green Gables. The
main character name is Anne.
INTERACTIVE RECOUNT
Anne Of Avonlea telling about a young sixteen years old
girl called Anne Shirley who lived in Prince Edward Island.
Anne was taken from Orphanage by Miss Marilla Curthbert and
her brother Matthew and live together in Green Gables.
Anne have new neighboor, Mr. Harrison and she never
meet him before but, she had already heard stories about him.
One day, Anne did a big mistake that she wrong sold Mr.Harisson
cow and Anne explain everything to Mr. Harrison and ask for
forgiveness and they became friends.
Anne had rejected her scholarship to go to college and
became a teacher at the Avonlea school were she and her friends
had been learnt.
EVALUATIONS
The novel is beautifully flowing, the atmosphere that can be
generated its beauty in Avonlea which is a novel this new. The
description of the natural atmosphere in Avonlea can be clearly
illustrated, so I long to be able to enjoy the soothing atmosphere
of nature. The dialogues were spoken well by Lucy.
EVALUATIVE SUMMATION

• Until the end of the novel, the beauty is more


pronounced, when Anne grows up. Can not be
drawn with words. I love this novel, although I do
not think it's the best novel I've ever read.
However, everyone can enjoy the beauty of this
novel.
