The Telecentre
The idea to build a television center in
Ufa was made by the decision of the
Council of Ministers of the BASSR in
1956.
The project was provided for the
installation of a 180-meter TV tower.
 Initially, it was
supposed to finish
the construction by
May 1, 1958, but due
to the large volume
of work, the time was
moved.
The three-storey
building of the Ufa
television center was
founded in the winter
of 1959 and cost half
a million rubles.
Openwork TV tower was installed next to it, the height of which was 192 m.
On January 1, 1959, the first pilot programs of the Bashkir television Studio
began.
Now there is the Television company "Bashkortostan"
in the building of the television Center , as well as
"Bashkir satellite television" and radio.
The bus stop "Telecenter" is a city landmark.
