CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT

A central processing unit (CPU) is an important part of every computer. The CPU
sends signals to control the other parts of the computer, almost like how a brain
controls a body.
The CPU is an electronic machine that works on a list of computer things to do,
called instructions. It reads the list of instructions and runs (executes) each one in
order. A list of instructions that a CPU can run is a computer program.
The clock rate, or speed of a CPU's internal parts, is measured in hertz (Hz). Modern
processors often run so fast that gigahertz (GHz) is used instead. One GHz is
one billion cycles per second.
Most CPUs used in desktop (home) computers are microprocessors made by
either Intel or Advanced Micro Devices (usually shortened to AMD). Some other
companies that make CPUs are ARM, IBM, and Sun Microsystems. Most of their
CPUs are used in embedded systems for more specialized things, like in mobile
phones, cars, game consoles, or in the military.
WHAT IS PROCESSOR
A processor is an integrated electronic circuit that
performs the calculations that run a computer. A
processor performs arithmetical, logical,
input/output (I/O) and other basic instructions that
are passed from an operating system (OS). Most
other processes are dependent on the operations
of a processor.
LAND GRID ARRAY
“Land grid array” (LGA) consists of a socket
with pins that you place the processor on. PGA
(“pin grid array”), on the other hand, places
the pins on the processor, which you then
insert into a socket with appropriately placed
holes. In the modern computing era, Intel CPUs
use LGA sockets, while AMD CPUs use PGA.
PIN GRID ARRAY
A pin grid array (PGA) is a type of integrated
circuit packaging. In a PGA, the package is
square or rectangular, and the pins are
arranged in a regular array on the underside
of the package. ... PGAs allow for
more pins per integrated circuit than older
packages, such as dual in-line package.

AMD CPU QUALCOMM CPU

INTEL CPU
Intel Core is a line of mid- to high-end consumer, workstation, and
enthusiast central processing units (CPU) marketed by Intel Corporation. These
processors displaced the existing mid- to high-end Pentium processors of the
time, moving the Pentium to the entry level, and bumping the Celeron series of
processors to the low end. Identical or more capable versions of Core processors
are also sold as Xeon processors for the server and workstation markets.
As of June 2017, the lineup of Core processors includes the Intel Core i9, IntelCore
i7, Intel Core i5, and Intel Core i3, along with the X-series Intel Core CPUs.
AMD CPU
Ryzen is a brand of x86-64 microprocessors designed and marketed
by Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) for desktop, mobile and embedded
platforms based on the Zen microarchitecture and its successors. It consists
of central processing units, marketed for mainstream, enthusiast and workstation
segments and accelerated processing units (APUs) marketed for mainstream and
entry-level segments and embedded applications.
AMD officially announced the first 14nm Ryzen products during its New Horizon
summit on December 13, 2016 and introduced them the following February. The
second generation of Ryzen CPUs featuring the Zen+ microarchitecture, an
incremental improvement built on a 12nm process technology, was released in
April 2018.The third generation, based on Zen 2 and featuring more significant
design improvements and a further shrink to TSMC's 7nm process, launched on
July 7, 2019.
NVIDIA CPU
Nvidia Corporation more commonly referred to as Nvidia (stylized
as NVIDIA; formerly stylized as nVidia on products from the mid 90s to
early 2000s), is an American technology company incorporated
in Delaware and based in Santa Clara, California. It designs graphics
processing units (GPUs) for the gaming and professional markets, as
well as system on a chip units (SoCs) for the mobile computing and
automotive market. Its primary GPU product line, labeled "GeForce", is
in direct competition with Advanced Micro Devices' (AMD) "Radeon"
products. Nvidia expanded its presence in the gaming industry with its
handheld Shield Portable, Shield Tablet and Shield Android TV.
QUALCOMM CPU
Snapdragon is a suite of system on a chip (SoC) semiconductor products for
mobile devices designed and marketed by Qualcomm Technologies Inc. The
Snapdragon central processing unit (CPU) uses the ARM RISC instruction set. A
single SoC may include multiple CPU cores, an Adreno graphics processing
unit (GPU), a Snapdragon wireless modem, a Hexagon Digital signal processor
(DSP), a Qualcomm Spectra Image Signal Processor (ISP) and other software
and hardware to support a smartphone's global positioning system (GPS),
camera, video, audio, gesture recognition and AI acceleration. Snapdragon
semiconductors are embedded in devices of various systems,
including Android, Windows Phone and netbooks. They are also used in cars,
wearable devices and other devices. In addition to the processors, the
Snapdragon line includes modems, wi-fi chips and mobile charging products.
