A refugee camp is a temporary
settlement built to receive refugees and
people in refugee- like situations.
Refugee camps usually accommodate
displaced person who have fled their
home country, but there are also camps
for internally displaced people.
A person who has been forced to
leave their country in order to escape
war, persecution, or natural disaster.

SETTINGS- A CAMP OF ARMENIAN
REFUGEES, A CAMP OF ANATOLIAN
REFUGEES AND THE HOME OF A CHINESE
FAMILY.
 IT PRESENTS AN INSIGHT INTO THE
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESS OF HUMAN
NATURE.
The protagonist of the story
is Mikali. He stands for
courage and
determination , who tries at
any cost to save his infant
brother
IT WAS MORE THAN A MONTH SINCE THEY
WERE AT MARSEILLES. THE CAMP OF
ARMENIAN REFUGEES ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF
THE TOWN ALREADY LOOKED LIKE A SAMLL
VILLAGE. THEY HAD SETTLED DOWN IN ANY
WAY THEY COULD: THE RICHEST UNDER THE
TENTS: THE OTHERS IN THE RUINED SHEDS: BUT
THE MAJORITY OF THE REFUGEES, HAVING
FOUND NOTHING BETTER, WERE SHELTERED
UNDER CARPETS HELD UP AT THE FOUR
CORNERS BY STICKS.

 HOW DID THE ARMENIAN
REFUGEES SETTLE?
They settle down in anyway they
could, the richest under tents and
others in the ruined shed. Majority
of the rufugees were sheltered
under carpets held up at four
courners by stick.
