 Plastics are inexpensive and durable – high production
 Malaysia is the 8th worst country worldwide for plastic worst.
 Estimated that Malaysia produced almost 1 million tonnes plastic waste in
2010.
METHODOLOGY
 Method that been used – giving questionnaire to 50 selected respondents
among students in Polytechnic according department respectively.
 JKM : 17 respondents
 JP : 16 respondents
 JAB : 17 respondents
 The purpose :
 Fullfill the main objective of this mini project.

Discussion
 The survey indicated that most of the respondents, regardless of their
background, are in favor of banning of production, distribution and
use of these plastic products, and aware of the adverse effects of
plastic bag wastes on environment, animal and human health. There are
no environmental benefits for plastic bags even though it requires less
energy to produce and recycle. Plastic bags are useful but harm the
environment. So the use of plastic bags should be limited.
Conclusion
 Students should increase the actions to change the attitude and
habit to take more care to environment by using less plastic in
daily life. Next, educate the students for recycling and re-using
plastic bags and promote to public about environmental
awareness through application of recycling. Lastly, students should
increase the usage of fabric and paper bags instead of plastic
bags to reduce plastic pollution.

Recommendation
• This survey should lunch to public to determine the awareness about plastic
pollution.
• Government should increase community education from primary school such as
do more campaign and activity
