    Sanitation services in Palgading have reached 87% of the population through two wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) that serve the area. The first WWTP served 100 households in 2012 and now serves 50, while the second served 50 families in 2015 and now serves 46. Communities not served by the WWTPs still use septic tanks. To date, there is no indication of pollution found from control wells near the WWTPs, though one WWTP has an unpleasant odor. Household waste water, if not treated, can damage the environment when discharged into rivers or groundwater.

    Sanitation services in in aldaging have reached 87% of the population.

    The Black and Gray water is treated at 2 WWTPs that serve the Palgading area

    The communities tha have not been served by WWTP use Septic Tank as a place for
    disposal / processing of wastewater.
    The first WWTP served 100 households in 2012 is currently
    serving 50 households.
    The first WWTP(2012) was funded by the USRI (Urban
    Sanitation and Rural Infrastructure).
    The second WWTP served 50 families 2015 and is currently
    serving 46 households.
    The second WWTP (2015) was funded by the central
    government and SANIMAS (Community Based Sanitation)

    IPAL Condition

    - Communities that do not use WWTP still use septic tanks


    - To date, there is no indication of pollution found from the
    control wells located near the IPAL.
    - The current problem with WWTP is that there is an
    unpleasant odor from IPAL
