manner , often to inexperienced users, on the
topic such as –
• Repairing the copy machine
• Selecting a home computer
• Operating a digital camera

• Technical communicators generally tailor
information to a specific audience, which may be
subject matter experts, consumers, end users, etc.

• Technical communicators often work collaboratively


to create deliverables that include online help, user
manuals specifications, industrial videos, reference
cards, data sheets, journal articles, patents,
and forms and documents.
Content Creation
• Technical communication is a professional task
performed by specialized employees or consultants. For
example, a professional writer may work with a company
to produce a user manual.
• Some companies give considerable technical
communication responsibility to other technical
professionals—such as programmers, engineers, and
scientists.
• Often, a professional technical writer edits such work to
bring it up to modern technical communication
standards.
The technical writing process can be divided
into five steps

1. Determine purpose and audience


2. Collect information
3. Organize and outline information
4. Write the first draft
5. Revise and edit
Feature of Technical Communication
• Communicating about technical and specialized topics
such as computer application, medical procedures and
environment regulations etc.

• Communicating by using technology such as web pages,


help sites and social media sites.

• Providing instruction about how to do something


regardless about how technical is the task.

• sometime technology is used to create and distribute


that communication.
